Cigati Duplicate File Finder and Cleaner

Step-1

Install and Run the Cigati Duplicate File Finder and Cleaner Tool.

Step-2

Choose Photos or Files, Click the Arrow icon to continue.

Step-3

Select All Files or Custom Files Scan as per your requirement.

• All Files – Scans all files in the selected folders.
• Custom Files Scan – Scans only specific, predefined categories such as Documents, Videos, Music, etc.

Step-4

Drag and drop a folder here, or click the Click Here button to add folders you want to scan.

Step-5

Choose the Scan Option:

This scan option includes file protection checkboxes to exclude specific areas from scanning. You can scan files based on their creation or modification date, and filter by file size - scanning only files smaller or larger than a specified size.

Step-6

Choose the Scan Whole Computer option to scan for duplicate files across your entire system.

Step-7

Tick the Extension-Based Scan option to scan the selected folders based on their file extensions. You can also choose to remove selected extensions.

Step-8

Once the filters are applied as needed, click the Start Scan button.

Step-9

The added file will now be scanned, and a summary of the detected duplicates will be displayed.

• Auto Remove – Deletes duplicates automatically without manual review, with options such as Delete Permanently, Move to Bin, or Move to Folder.
• View Detailed Results - Displays the scan results for review.

Step-10

You can choose to View Detailed Results, which displays the categorized results.

Step-11

This Select Duplicate option allows you to manage duplicate file selections efficiently.

• Retain Oldest Files - Keeps the earliest version of each duplicate file and marks the newer versions for removal.
• Retain Newest Files – Keeps the latest version of each duplicate file and marks the older versions for removal.
• Clear All Selections – Removes all current selections, allowing you to manually choose which files to keep or delete.

Step-12

This Select Action option allows you to choose how to handle duplicate files after they are identified.

• Delete Permanently – Removes the duplicate files from your system without recovery.
• Move to Bin – Sends the duplicate files to the system recycle bin or trash.
• Move to Folder – Moves the duplicate files to a designated folder for review or backup.

Step-13

With the Export Result option, you can export the results in CSV format and save them to your preferred location.
