Powerful Features of

Microsoft Teams Migration Tool

other-files

Complete Workspace Migration

Microsoft Teams Tenant to Tenant Migration, including channels, messages, files, tabs and supported apps. You can choose exactly which teams and channels to bring across. Each one can be created as a brand new team at the destination, or its channels can be added to an existing team. Nothing gets rebuilt manually.

bulk-conversion

Secure Conversion Migration

Bring over one-to-one chats, group conversations and meeting chats from the source tenant. A separate private-chat flow handles them, so the history people rely on for decisions, context and past discussions is still available after the move. Users don't have to go through old records or ask colleagues to resend anything.

cloud-migration

Smart User Mapping

Before copying starts, line up source teams and users with their matching destination accounts. Mapping decides where each item lands and who it belongs to, so memberships, ownership and message authors come through correctly. You can review and adjust every match beforehand, which avoids messy corrections once the migration is running.

processor

Live Health Monitor

A compact panel shows how the migration is doing while it runs. You can see an overall status, throughput in items per second, API throttling, the retry queue, failed items & the time of the last success. Problems show up early, so you can act quickly or stop the job before small issues grow.

files-number

Identity Preservation

Every migration gets its own record. The panel lists a job ID, a tracking run ID, who started it, the plan used, the region and the local time. Having these details in one place makes it simple to tell jobs apart, answer audit questions and give support the exact reference they need.

doc

Real-Time Activity Tracking

Follow the migration step by step through a live log. Each entry carries a time stamp and a level such as info, success, warning or error. Search for a specific message, filter by status to focus on what matters, and export the whole log whenever you need a copy for review.

data

In-Depth Migration Reports

Once a job finishes, open a full report of what happened. It covers teams, channels, files and messages, with the outcome of each item, so failures are easy to trace. Reports can be saved and shared with managers, clients or auditors who want proof that the work was completed properly.

eliminates-duplicate

Duplicate-Free Migration

If a migration stops halfway, you don't need to begin again. Switch this option on and the tool continues from where it left off. Items that already exist at the destination and match are skipped, while anything missing or incomplete is tried again. It saves time and prevents duplicate content.

view

Private Chat Migration

When chats are migrated, private conversations don’t arrive alone. Attached files, inline images, embedded links, voice notes, and similar content get transferred as well, so nothing gets lost along the way. Users keep the full context of their exchanges, from the first message to the latest shared document, intact on the new platform.

safe-and-secure

Secure Chunked Migration

Data moves in 4 MB chunks, keeping transfers stable and easy to retry if one fails. Each chunk is encrypted in transit, verified on arrival, & logged for audit. Access stays limited to authorized executives, so sensitive material remains protected from start to finish, with nothing exposed during the move.

Before the migration begins you match the source users and teams to their destination accounts using the Mappings option. This determines where the content goes and who is responsible, for it. This ensures that memberships, ownership and message authors move correctly.
